FWPD Officer Newman has been with the department for 10 years.
He has risked his life everyday for others and has helped make the community a safer place to live .
On November 16, 2015 , he suffered a major stroke while at work. The stroke was caused by a blood clot on the left and right side of the brain , which can not be repaired at this time. As a result of the stroke, Officer Newman is not able to speak and has lost much of his body's ability to function .He has a long and difficult road to recovery.
UPDATE: November 18, Officer Newman had a major surgery to repair a second blood clot to the right side of his brain .
Due to the high expense of medical bills, possibility of more surgeries, a long rehabilitation , and insurance only covering parts of the bill , it would be a huge relief to the family to assist with the financial situation.
Officer Newman and his family are in need of support ( emotionally, finacially and your prayers to help him get well)
