MC is going to AFRICA!!!

BIG NEWS!!! Our amazing, talented, and beautiful friend Mary Catherine is headed to Africa to do amazing work with her beloved chimpanzees!!The chimps in Senegal are getting the best gift of all: MC as the new project manager at a new field site!  She will be habituating a new chimp group for future research projects, conducting ecological surveys of their home range, and managing research assistants.  This is extremely important work that I, for one, am super grateful that there are people in the world ready to sacrifice and do it.  

Basically, with resources going for things for the chimps and for the site, she is being paid peanuts.  The job starts in less than a month so we all need to chip in and help our girl get everything she needs to make this dream come true!! Since MC heard she got this amazing position there have been many practical conversations about how we are going to make this happen.  

She will be camping in the African bush for 5months doing extremely physically demanding work, so we need to prepare her with all kinds of sturdy out door stuff (like good shoes, water filter, mosquito nets, and other survival gear)!  

She needs lots of shots and antimalarial meds to keep her healthy and safe.  Also plane tickets!!  

Everything she needs to make this trip happen is expensive and we need your help.  Anything you can throw our way would be much appreciated.  We love you all!  Thanks for your consideration!!
