NYIT Alt Break: Nicaragua

Dear Family / Friends.
On March 17th, 2018, I will be leading a group of students from NYIT to Nicaragua for this year's Alternative Break. We will be working with Bridges to Community to build a house for a family in need.
Each year, NYIT students, faculty and staff travel to an in-need area to lend a helping hand. Past trips to Peru, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic have offered students life-changing experiences and new understandings of the world at large.
Bridges to Community is a non-profit organization whose two-part mission is to improve the lives of impoverished communities in developing countries through volunteer service trips, and to simultaneously educate and transform those volunteers to be more aware of the connections we all share and the ways we can impact our lives for the better.
Fundraising is a requirement for this trip and helps offset the out-of-pocket costs for participants.
I am writing to ask for your help and support. My goal is to fundraise $3000 to help cover the project costs and fees.
