My Senior Dream Prom (Graduation)

Dear Friends:
We are a team of YMCA youth development leaders seeking support for one of our most caring and selfless high school volunteers. Over the past few years we have had the privilege of watching Dee Lam become an amazing young woman who serves as a role model to all of the students in a YMCA after school program located in a lower income neighborhood. Though she has dealt with abandonment and homelessness during her young life Dee remains generous and optimistic and her spirit is indomitable. Dee serves children in the program with homework help and takes on responsibilities and duties to help provide excellent enrichment activities for youth. Her strong values and character make her an ideal role model especially since she once sat in the chair of the students she now serves.
Because of her valiant spirit we know that Dee is headed toward a bright future but as she begins her senior year of high school she is without the resources for senior activities like prom, senior portraits or a yearbook. We are asking for donations to help make Dee’s senior year as bright and unforgettable as she is.
Cash donations are needed but in-kind donations or services are just as helpful. We hope that you will be able to join us in supporting Dee Lam and showing her how unique and valued she is.
