As of January 2017, an estimated 2600 people in Baltimore City were homeless. Women and children are the fastest growing subset of the homeless population, and 66% of those people are Black.

This holiday season, Not Without Black Women wants to contribute to the existing effort to service Baltimore’s homeless population by recognizing that Black homeless women are uniquely susceptible to violence, and by providing Black homeless women with resources to make the holiday season just a bit happier.

Not Without Black Women wants to raise $1,000 by Saturday, December 2 to put together carepackages for homeless Black women in Baltimore City.

What kinds of things will the packages consist of?

Socks
Water bottle
Tuna and crackers
Granola Bar or cereal bar
Fruit snack or applesauce cup
Crackers with peanut butter or cheese
Hand wipes
Pack of Kleenex
Maxi pads
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Nail clippers
Band Aids
Chapstick
Comb or small brush
Etc. Etc. Etc.

$1,000 Goal Deadline: Decemeber 2, 2017
