Nurses In Action Fundraising

Hello Hello!
So I've finally decided that its about time that I chase one of my long time dreams. I am SO stoked to announce that I have been accepted as a volunteer with World Youth International in their 'Nurses in Action' program in Kenya! So in August 2019, I will be joining a small team of nurses and heading to Odede, a small rural village 2 hours west of Kisumu, in Western Kenya for approx 29 days!
In Odede, I will be based at Mama Ann's Community Health Center. The center primarily has a maternal and HIV focus. I’ll also be involved in the running of a mobile medical camp in a rural community. We will be providing free medical assistance to approximately 150–300 people per day, treating those who would otherwise not have access to medical facilities or treatment at all.

I will also have the opportunity to take part in clinical placements, in the delivery of home based care to the chronically ill and the elderly. I will also be involved in education and awareness campaigns about issues such as HIV/AIDS, hygiene, sanitation, child and maternal healthcare, preventative health and family planning services.

In saying this, I can not provide assistance without a bit of crowd funding to provide our medical supplies.
My required goal is $1,800 and anything over that will go towards maternal birthing packs that I will take over!
Every cent counts guys. I truly hope my community can help the locals of the Odede community!
