orrite so i rly didnt wanna have to do this but this is kinda a last ditch effort type thing for me and i kinda need some help.
basically since i was 11 ive dealt with a bunch of chronic ilnesses (chronic fatigue, ulcerative colitis and a bunch of other boring stuff) and severe mental illness (buncha stuff). ive had a pretty hard run at it and more or less havent been able to find any working treatments with regular gps, specialists, psychiatrists etc etc etc. in fact they kinda made my condition worse so in recent wks ive had to start seeking some 'aleternative' 'advice' from 'other' 'practitioners' - basically ive gotta go see a rich ppl dr at a place called 'The National Institute of Integrated Medicine'. Its a pretty chill place but the majority of its practice is not covered by pbs or medicare. After the rebate each of these sessions costs me $220, and on top of that i have to pay for medications which upwards of $300 per month. I even have to buy one medication that isnt legal in Australia (for whatever reason) from a dude called Norm. He's from the states and he makes a shit tonne of money off of postage.
I was living off of the young people version of the disability pension up until they cut it off on my 22nd birthday because i guess once u turn 22 u should be old enough to just cure urself and join the workforce. I'm currently on the waiting list to be put on the regular pension but they have forecasted several months before i hear anything from them and even then its not a sure fire thing becuase of my age. My parents r both rly chill but they both work two jobs each and have their own shit to sort out so i dont rly have the opportunity to live outta their pockets while i recover. My mum gave me some of her startup scholarship from her cenno bennoz to help out but i know she needs that and its not sustainable in the long run.
I more or less just need help sustaining treatment for the next few months (medication, weekly visits etc. also just food n transport n stuff) while i work out whats gonna happen with my situation. Ive also gotta front $350 at some point for a test that isnt on the pbs so Im kinda living wk to wk at the moment and its not rly the coolest feeling in the world. especially when i gotta go to school and stuff.
If you can help out, or you have parents who can help you help out lemme know. I didnt rly wanna have to do this but its been a pretty long road n i kinda just needa give this a go. Just so i can at least say ive tried all i can.
