Help new mom Kat after tragic loss

Kat Carroll and Max Boheme were brought together through their love of helping others. They met while working together at a life skills training center for children with autism. They soon fell in love and earlier this year were thrilled to find out they were pregnant with a son, a first child for each of them. Tragically, on September 12, 2015 Max, an avid fishermen and outdoorsman, passed away from hypotermia in Lake Michigan during a kayak fishing competition. You can imagine the devastation Kat and their families must be feeling.  As Kat grieved in the days that followed she also knew she had to stay positive and healthy for her baby boy who was expected to arrive in just 3 short weeks. The day before Max's memorial service, just one week after he passed away, Kat went into labor a little early. Mercifully, she gave birth to a strong, healthy baby boy; Bear Marshall Boheme.
Kat is now torn between her deep grief for her partner, best friend and father of her newborn son and the joy and love she feels for baby Bear.
This page was created to help Kat through her grief and post partum by helping her out financially. She needs to focus on Bear and my hope is that finances will be the least of her worries. She is a new mom who lost her partner in a tragic accident just days before giving birth. Kat is an amazing, strong and giving woman, and Bear, an innocent child who will now grow up never knowing his father. They both deserve all the help we can give them.
