The School of American Ballet

Donation protected
I am writing this letter and requesting donations on behalf of my son, Lajeromeny Brown Jr.  Over the course of his young life, he has studied and perfected the art of dance while still endeavoring to continue to learn.
He currently attends Center of Creative Arts in Chattanooga, TN, the only performing arts school in the area.  While participating at Ballet Tennessee, he has maintained a 4.0 grade average and has received many awards due to his studies and dance.
While being blind in his left eye and living in a community where gangs, violence, and drugs are fluently attacking our young men, He has defied the stereotypical odds and sometimes even being ridiculed by his peers.  Lajeromeny is being raised by a single mother with two other siblings.  Even through all of the trials and tribulations he has endured.  Lajeromeny has stayed focus and determined to succeed.
In January of 2016, he was able to audition for The School of American Ballet in New York, New York, notably one of the best dance schools in America.  Out of over one hundred children ranging from the ages of 13-18, Lajeromeny was awarded a full scholarship to attend summer intensives while others where dismissed and told they would receive a call within two weeks.
The Scholarship awarded to Lajeromeny includes room board and food.  There are several other items and an expense we must cover to ensure that he is able to experience an opportunity of a lifetime.  Attached is the list of items that are required for his stay.  Monetary donations will be used toward travel expenses which include airplane tickets for my son and I, and money for the other extra curricular activities that are needed during his stay from June 25, 2016 to August 1, 2016.
