Help Victims of Nepal Earthquake

Donation protected

Hello,
My name is Prakrity Silwal and I am from Kathmandu, Nepal. I am currently residing in Boston, MA and am a graduate student at Boston College studying Social Work.
As we all know, Nepal faced a major catastrophe on April 25, Saturday as a 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Nepal with devastating force. This has resulted in loss of many lives and many more that are unaccounted for and the search for survivors continues. The death toll is rising and the full extent of the damage is still being assessed. Nepal is a very poor country and this major devastation has left it with even fewer resources and destroyed most of our infrastructure.
As a Nepali citizen, I would like to take a step forward to help my motherland by asking for your help. The victims of this terrible catastrophe are in need of shelter, food, clothes, medicine, and any other form of support to help them get back to their feet and stand strong. It is times like this that we need to unite as a community and help each other.
Please donate as much as you can and spread the word to all your family, relatives, and friends. I would like to assure you that the funds will be going to the right place and to the right people so that there is no mismanagement of funds.  The donations will be directed to local  NGOs at the grassroots level where help is immensely needed.

The donations will also be given to a local NGO called Ama Ghar for their Ama Ghar Community Earthquake Relief Fund-which will be used to help the local community in the rebuilding process as well as to provide them with food, blankets, clothes, and tents. You can find more info about this NGO below:

Many victims of this massive earthquake have reported through various nepali radio stations that international aid has not reached the locals yet. They have been left to fend for themselves. So it is important to consider giving funds to local NGO's since they have a better understanding of the local issues and know where help is needed the most.

Nepal really needs your help right now! Please help our country overcome this devastation by donating and sharing this page! Thank you.
