This-N-That New Location

Tax deductible
-LOOKING FORWARD TO A NEW DIRECTION-

And we now call on your help to make it a reality

This-N-That Thrift store is owned and operated by Clark County Christian Center a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization and was developed to help meet the needs of disadvantaged families in the community. Our outreach program provides furniture, clothing and household resources to families in need, job training, current work experience, low cost to no cost work clothes and volunteer opportunities.

We work to achieve our Vision/Mission by serving:

S: Strive to help others
E: Encourage one another
R: Reach those who are in need
V: Value others
E: Extend opportunities for growth

After the loss of our former location we got together with some of our Partnering agencies to see what we could do to further help the community. The outcome of that was to press forward and fine tune and focus on the needs of the community.

So we are now looking to launch our new Program

“The Community Warehouse of SW Washington”

We are excited to be partnering with other local agencies to provide home furnishings. When we work together, many hands make light work. Together we can help overcome the feeling of being stuck. As we help people and families that are doing their best to make a change for the better, they often find themselves looking up at a very big mountain. This-N-That is here to help furnish a house so it can be a home, a place for families to call a refuge, a place to be able to collect their thoughts and raise their children.

Letter from Council for the Homeless

Date: 3/8/2018

To Whom It May Concern,

This-N-That store is an essential local partner in the Council for the Homeless’ efforts to help people working to end their homelessness. We support the efforts to raise funds to sustain This-N-That’s important presence in Clark County. Currently, the only similar resource available for discounted clothing and household items is in Oregon and often has a 2-4 week waiting list. They also do not deliver to Washington, creating additional challenges for people in need of items.

This-N-That has a direct positive impact on people who are living on the streets trying to meet their basic needs and end their homelessness. For example, This-N-That recently generously matched a clothing vouchers dollar-for-dollar allowing individuals to purchase clothing when most only had the clothes on their back. This-N-That also provided the opportunity for families who had recently moved into their own housing and out of homelessness, furniture items for their new home. They provided a delivery service for this furniture, filling a great need for people experiencing poverty, newly housed, and without the resources to acquire or move furniture.

Council for the Homeless provides community leadership, compelling advocacy, and practical solutions to prevent and end homelessness in Clark County. We cannot do this work without partners like This-N-That. They fill a significant gap in our community support system. We are grateful for their partnership and wish them continued success.

Thank you!
