New Working Dog for Curt Martinez

My name is Curt Martinez and I am currently the Chief of Police of West Caln Township. Over the past nineteen years my canine partners and I have conducted over a thousand bomb sweeps and other canine functions throughout Chester County. My current partner Bouc is 10 years old and recently retired in January 2018 after many years of outstanding service to our community. That's Bouc in the picture with me - he was an amazing partner who many of you got to see in action.
I am asking for your help as I seek funding for a new patrol/narcotics canine. While West Caln Township has been generous in covering many associated costs, the remaining expense to attain and train one of these incredibly specialized canines is in excess of $18,000. To
this end, we are now asking the community to help us raise the remaining funds so that I may attend the next open training class and obtain a canine partner this fall.
In our work together, Bouc and I were frequently available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for eight years. We have received many commendations and letters of praise and have always felt a sense of pride and duty to protect the citizens of Chester County and beyond. In addition, we were always quick to interact with area youth to help them overcome any fear of law enforcement and understand the amazing work that these dogs can do.
With the heightened state of the opioid crisis in particular, I believe that it's critical that we immediately secure another patrol/narcotics detection canine. I would like to thank you for your time and consideration - a donation of any amount is greatly appreciated. Any funds raised beyond the stated goal will be held in a special canine account at West Caln Township to be used strictly to support future ongoing canine related expenses such as equipment training, etc.
