Eastwood Tree Replacement

Dear Neighbors,
On the evening of December 31st, 2018, our decorated tree at Greenway Park was lost to an automobile incident. The pine tree, a fixture in the park for more than three decades, was a central part of our neighborhood holiday celebration. The tree sat next to our Veterans Memorial, the heart of the only Memorial Day Parade in the city of Syracuse each May.
The Eastwood Neighborhood Association, along with our donors, business partners and community supporters, has continually underwritten and coordinated the holiday tree lighting ceremony with Santa each year and it has become one of our favorite nights in Eastwood.
In an effort to continue our neighborhood traditions, the Eastwood Neighborhood Association will explore all avenues to replace our tree and repair any damages that were caused.
We are hoping to get the largest tree possible and we are working with the City of Syracuse and other community partners to make this happen.
ALL funds raised by this effort will go towards replacement of the tree, lighting, electrical work, landscape repairs and enhancing Greenway Park so that our tree lighting each year can be enjoyed by the neighborhood.
