Neuroblastoma fight for Baby Midzic

Dr. Ines Midzic is a Rheumatologist with the Ottawa Hospital who has recently received terrible news about her 11m old son with Cancer.
After about 8 weeks of subtle symptoms, he has been diagnosed with high risk neuroblastoma (stage 4, large primary adrenal mass, mets to regional and distant LNs, bones, orbits; MYCN amplified).
The prognosis is reasonably good, 70% survival (better than 40-50% expected based on previous literature).
It’s a year long treatment including chemo, surgery, tandem autologous stem cell transplant, radiation, immunotherapy - besides 2 mo inpatient in Toronto for the transplants, they can remain in their hometown childrens' hospital in Ottawa, 1 week inpt, 2 weeks outpt x 1yr (not counting possible admissions for febrile neutropenia, etc). We have lots of support from family, friend.
She has already taken off 6 weeks and will take many more as required by the treatments and travel.
So far, the little one is incredibly strong and tolerating his 1st week of chemo with smiles and lots of energy.
