Nancy's Elves

Donation protected
Nancy's Elves are helping to spread a little Christmas cheer to families in need in memory of Nancy Jones. This cheer will be delivered in the form of gifts under the tree, food on the table, and warm winter necessities for the family. This year we are doubling our fundraising goal as we have signed up a record 18 CHILDREN from 7 different families to provide this support to. My friend from our old church in Salem, MA who helps connect us with families reached out asking for any help we could provide for these families and I know we can rise to the challenge. (The church has been unable to continue the Giving Tree program due to limited resources this year which has left her unable to offer assistance to even those families most in need... That is, until we signed on to help). I feel so fortunate to be able to offer this support in memory of my mom and I'm grateful to each person who has contributed or shared or encouraged me in the past.

December 13, 2019 will be 14 years since my mom, Nancy Jones, passed away. It is impossible to capture her warmth and  kindness with a sentence or two, but suffice it to say - to know her was to love her and to be loved by her was one of the greatest gifts I've ever been blessed with. This project is a fitting tribute because as a school nurse in Bedford, she would help organize the "adopt a family" program at the schools and I remember loading up her minivan and dropping off gifts to families in need with her.  She taught Pete and I the importance of lending a hand when people are in need through her own actions and my hope as Nancy's Elves continues is for my daughters and Pete's children to be able to learn about the type of person their grandmother was through action as well.

The amount of support I've received with this project over the past 4 years has been incredible. I couldn't be more grateful or more humbled that so many of you who were lucky enough to know Nancy, and even many of you who only know of her through others, have chosen to participate.

All funds collected will be used to purchase grocery store gift cards, warm clothing and essentials, and to complete the purchase of any remaining gifts on the lists.
If you would prefer to donate a gift rather than money, I have created an amazon wish list which can be found here: Nancy's Elves 2019 Wish List
