My water heaters broken :(

Over the weekend my gas tank ran dry and agter we filled it we tried to light the pilot and it wouldn't work. Heating and air guy today said it would cost as much to fix it as getting a new one. It's 20 years old so might as well. With a broken arm I'm not working right now and can't afford it. Anything helps
