my Volunteer trip to Peru

In the summer holidays in 2018 I will be going on a one month expedition where i'll spend time in different areas of the high Andes in Southern Peru helping to improve the standard of living for rural communities. I’ll take part in ongoing conservation activities to protect valuable and sensitive ecological areas. I’ll have the opportunity to learn some Spanish. I'll visit the amazing floating reed villages on Lake Titicaca and seeing the traditional way of life is a fantastic experience. The highlight of my trip will be completing the Salkantay Trek to the world famous Incan Ruins of Machu Picchu. 
This whole experience will be hosted by Camps International 
I will have 3 main tasks during my stay in Peru, I will be:
Taking part in the school feeding project 
The community of Kajilarakay is extremely poor with no basic sanitation or sewerage and a lack of adequate drinking water. There is also a shortage of crops leading to malnutrition. I’ll help by working on the school kitchen and greenhouse to provide a hygienic place to prepare meals and boosting the nutrition of each meal.
I will be making school improvements in titicaca
The communities surrounding Lake Titicaca remain some of the poorest in Peru. The remoteness and inaccessibility of this region means that there is little or no help available from surrounding regions. I’ll help by continuing to build community facilities and a classroom for the villagers as well as restoring the school greenhouse.
I will be making more school improvements in colca
The community of Pinchollo sits on the edge of the mighty Colca Canyon at 3,600 metres above sea level. Due to its remoteness and relatively harsh environmental conditions, the community here is very deprived. I’ll help by continuing many varied projects to improve the lives of this charming community.
