My First Mission Trip to Guatemala

Dear Friends and Family,
In February 2017 I’m excited to be headed to Guatemala on my first mission trip. I have been asked to join the worship team from our church to go on this journey. Although this will be a short mission’s trip we are working to setting up life changing Christ centered bonds and connections for the future. We plan on donating instruments to the local churches, as well as spend time with the orphans at the Worldwide Mana Feeding Centers. We will be participating in bilingual worship and sharing experiences with everyone we come across.
We will be talking and sharing about how God sees us and how we can serve others through the ministry of Praise and Worship. Showing the orphans that they are loved, not alone, and incredibly valuable – messages that I think are important for growth and transformation. As you can probably tell, it’s going to be a full week of listening to, learning from and loving on the people we meet in Guatemala, and there is going to be a great opportunity for growth within our group.
I would love it if you would pray for this mission trip experience. Pray for the 15 of us who are going – that we would be open to learning from the community we’re visiting and grow closer as a group and closer to Jesus. Pray for the Worldwide Mana Feeding Centers staff that will be working with us. Pray for the community members who we meet – that we could love and honor them well. Pray especially for the kids who we’ll get to do ministry with – that they would connect the love we show with the love Jesus has for them.
Finally, pray for me – that I could really experience this mission trip in a fresh and effective way. If you will commit to praying for us, please let me know. I would love to share that news with my team.
Also, many members of our team such as myself are still working on fundraising for this trip. Please consider supporting me financially. Any amount is more than welcome. I really feel it in my heart that I’ve been asked to move in faith. I don't know how I'm going to pay for this trip, as all signs point to "no way" more than ever, but I am determined to find a way to make this happen. The next installment for this trip is $500 by December 11, 2016. The total amount of $1500 is due by January 8, 2017.

I'm eager, and excited to see where God is leading me in faith. I’m enthusiastic for this new opportunity and I’m looking forward to sharing about it with you when I return.
