Dear friends and family who love Phoebe and those of you who may not know her...
I'm her Aunt and I am starting a go fund me on her behalf to help raise money for her on going medical treatments as the financial burden has become too much to bear for her parents (my sister and brother and law.) No one ever knows when to start these kinds of things - I think that's part of the hardship of illness. Denial. Fear. The difficulty of acknolweding we need help. Wondering how we will be percieved by our community by asking for financial help.
But here I am asking for it.
To give you a background, Phoebe Elizabeth Kimball was born December 23 2010. Somewhere along the way in her toddler years, it became evident that she was "different" and wasn't growing properly. She wasn't gaining weight and she had trouble eating or having interest in food. Two years ago she was diagnosed with Celiacs Disease and for the past two years my sister (Martha) has been managing all of Phoebe's health - from cooking all of her food in a gluten free environment, to homeschooling her to protect her from all possible allergens. I just cannot begin to explain the toll this is taking on my sister, my brother in law, my parents, and our family. This disease and illness has consumed so much of their minds and subsequently, money.
Would you help. Consider any financial amount. Phoebe's conventional treatments are expensive and the bills have been piling up, as does the special food and diet she is on as part of her treatment. I would also like to support the family with alternative medical treatments. Any amount is a blessing. We also ask for your continued prayers. Thank you so much.
