Boots needed for children at the Standing Rock Camp
The security forces for #DAPL are meeting the water protestors with aggressive and illegal action. But the determination in the camp, on behalf of all humans and the Earth is steadfast. They will stay the course, through the cold. We have names and shoe sizes of 35 children who need warm boots so they can stand firm in the snow with the adults from 280 indigenous nations. Please help us meet this need. They stand for me and you, too. One with my courageous brothers and sisters, Barbara Cecil (Ashland, Oregon)
We have a special arrangement with Mukluks.com where they make hand made warm snowproof traditional boots and is giving us a discount for the cause (20% off of $150 per pair).
This cause sits at the intersection of corporate greed, destruction of the earth, and racism. It effects millions downstream on the Missouri River, and addresses the trail of broken treaties, promises, and genocide in our US heritage.
Thank you for standing through the winter with these children, our children.
