Tough Mudder 2015,
12th September
&
The Betws-y-Coed Trail Challenge -10k,
7th November

2 challenges 2 GREAT reasons to sponsor me!

UPDATE

- I've smashed 10/10 mudder trianing sessions best I could :) Click HERE to read what I was up to with these awesome guys ...
- I went to every ladies who lift session, got myself out of that horrible 1200 calories cycle, ate more and lost 10 inches on the tape measure.
- I've done 2 trail runs, 2 5km runs since TM training ended and have another trail and run before the TM event.

Carry on reading below  .....

In the past you guys have helped me raise £1591.61 for the skydive petrified of heights and £706 for the 10k run after losing over 60lbs and quitting smoking #amazing #thankyouthankyou ... All money raised for chellenging my fears and myself went to James Cook Neonatal unit in memory of a special little girl I will never forget.

I'm back challenging myself again (twice) and relying on your support.

My Tough Mudder Challenge is to face something new, face more of my fears and anxieties, ditch body fat and get fitter ... I'm not doing this with minimal effort.

I moved last year and my skinny active self was going backwards so I kicked my own ass signing up to the TM and then the search for somewhere new to train began. I really love where I am now, the training is immense and the people I work out with are awesome... I'm not just smashing out cardio and losing weight I'm getting fit, I'm feeling alive. These guys actively encourage you to challenge yourself to the best you can do and to my happiness since I didn't know what I was heading into (haha) these guys also do a team  Mudder every year and Mudder Trainings ... #yay #awesome #mememe

As of the 20th July I have lost 10.1% body fat since joining FastWayToFitness #boom and I am currently doing a 4 week booster on a tranformation ladies who lift group. I love it!

Most of my friends know I'm feared of heights and panic in confined spaces so I'm not sure I thought this through properly when I needed to give myself a fitness push? ha

Betws-y-Coed Trail Challenge For Jessica -10k
Last year I ran 2-3 times a week preparing for the 10k which was on the road and really struggled. I assumed it was just the cigarettes (I am still quit btw, best thing I did) but it turns out I have asthma, oops. I struggle and continue to struggle with this but I will go on... I have done trails on our TM training and although they are tough and the Betws-y-Coed Trail is further I’ve strangely enjoyed them… what’s a challenge if I can just breeze through it? There is a 5k option but that’s not good enough.

I won’t set myself a target but I do promise to give it my best effort!

Wish me luck from your comfy sofas those weekend please :)

This year I’m fundraising for 2 charities:

1.  Jessica <3

Jessica was born in June 2008 at Ealing Hospital London. Jessica’s parents were unaware until her birth she would be born with a condition called Fibular Hemimelia. Putting it simple Jessica was born without a Fibular bone, the bone that develops the ankle and foot. She was born with two toes and a ball of skin on her right leg which was amputated in July 2009 aged 13 months. She was amazing and recovered fantastically.
A few months later she was fitted with her first prosthetic and there has been nothing stopping this amazing girl since. She is a strong and determined young lady who will give anything a try.

As Jessica grows she does need new leg fittings however as time goes on the things we take for granted require special leg fittings for swimming/aqua, sports (running blades), driving not forgetting the specialised driving lessons Jessica will need and even heels, every girl needs heels and selection of shoes right?

2. Team Sam Faux who are raising money for Alder Hey Children's hospital and CLIC Sargent (for children and young people with cancer) in memory of Sam. Ben, Sam’s brother uses the same fitness camp … I am training with some of these guys and I simply want to help.

Just days before Sam passed away at the age of 18 he announced that he wanted to do the Tough Mudder. Sadly the day after posting the message on Twitter, he went for a brain scan at Alder Hey and was told he had only weeks to live. Sam died at home 5 days later.

~~~~~~
I hope I can rely on your help again everyone and help me raise some pennies for these 2 wonderful causes over the next 3 months.
As usual all event costs are at my expense.
