Encourage Australians to vote yes
We are a loose collective of unaffiliated individuals who came together to campaign for a “yes” vote in the upcoming survey on marriage equality in Australia.
We now have over 1,000 volunteers distributing 244,500 flyers across Australia. 144,500 of that total have been funded by your generous donations. We can’t thank you enough!
Every $20 donated translates directly into an additional 1,000 flyers supporting marriage equality in Australia.

The Story
On Wednesday 30 August, /u/oh-woops, Emily, posted to /r/australia on reddit and accidentally kickstarted a nationwide effort by everyday Australians to do whatever they can to support a "yes" vote in the upcoming survey on marriage equality in Australia.

Emily works for a small printing business. She asked her boss if she could print 100 flyers that she could hand out at the train station to combat the misinformation being spread by the "no" campaign.
Her boss, Jake, said that he would foot the bill for 100,000 flyers.
Emily posted to /r/australia and asked if anyone was interested in helping to hand out the flyers. Hundreds of redditors responded and came together to figure out how to get the job done. They named themselves “Australians For Change”.
We received international attention a few days later when the original post was submitted to /r/bestof and was viewed 64,300 times.
Our post showing off the final design for the flyer became the top post on /r/all for several hours, received more than half a million views, and became the second most upvoted post on /r/australia ever.
