Ohio Progressive Alliance needs your help to pay the cost of meals for 75 progressive Ohioans who wish to attend the Mobilize 88 Leadership Summit at Deer Creek Lodge in Mt. Sterling, Ohio on July 21 to 23rd (the one year anniversary of the DNC Convention in Philly). Meals cost $75.00 per person and include Friday night reception, Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Sunday breakfast.
Mobilize88 is both a celebration of our accomplishments and a leadership summit for organizing an 88 county strategy in Ohio. One year ago at the 2016 Democratic National Convention, under the banner of his primary run, Bernie Sanders passed on the baton of the Political Revolution to the millions of Americans who stood up to demand a fairer, more equitable society.
While Bernie did not receive the nomination, the movement made a HUGE impact on American politics that is still going strong right here in Ohio. However, it is clear that the current Administration stands in the way, forcing us to hold ground rather than move forward. If we are to fight for both, if we are to make room for the Revolution in the Resistance, we must become stronger, better organized leaders so that we are not simply fighting for what is being threatened, but that we are also fighting for a future to believe in.
