Since 1989 our little shop and sweet gardens have grown and evolved to become one of the finest facilities and resources in the country for bulk herbs, herbal products and education.
New Hampshire has been experiencing seriously accumulating drought conditions for the past few years, reaching the point of EXTREME last summer, according to the United States Drought Monitor.
We have now been downgraded to the SEVERE level, which means we are still in very concerning drought conditions going into spring and the summer growing season.
The well at Misty Meadows is a 23 foot dug well and has served us well for many years. But last summer the water level in the well dropped below 6 feet for an extended period. Fortunately, we were rescued by our neighboring farm, whose owners very generously allowed us to tie into their deep and bountiful drilled well and we purchased their water until our well began recovering in November. We decided to take a proactive stance and prepare to raise funds to drill a new well. Estimates for a new well ranged from $10,000 to $24,000.
We launched a Go Fund Me campaign in December, hoping to raise up to $20,000. Donations have been sparse at best and spring is here. We are no where near having enough money to contract for the new well as yet.
In over 27 years, Misty Meadows has been a totally solvent, debt-free servant of the community and have seldom gone to our community for help in this way. But now here we are, asking for your help.
Please consider making a donation to help fund this critically important project.
- Donations in the amount pf $50-$99 will be given a 3 month 10% off bulk herbs and pre-blended teas card.
-Donations in the amount of $100-$199 will be given a special discount card here at Misty Meadows. For 6 months, you will always receive 20% off any Bulk Herb or Pre-Blended Tea purchase.
-Donations in the amount of $200-$499 will receive an engraved stone that will be placed in a circle around our Gingko Tree here on the property. The Gingko Tree is a place where students and staff regularly meet, you will always be a part of Misty Meadows.
-Donations in the amount of $500 or more will have a medicinal tree planted in recognition, including an engraved stone at the base of the tree. This tree will provide new medicine to the community and will always be a special part of Misty Meadows.
