Minyerri Christmas Kid Fundraising

I have friends in the Minyerri Indigenous community have had their community home destroyed by six locals from the surrounding community. In their home was $4000 worth of christmas gifts, $2500 of food and drinks and also christmas hampers all for the local children. These guys put on a christmas party for the locals, with 200 children each receiving a gift, families getting a hamper plus food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.
Ken Muggeridge, CEO of Alawa Aboriginal Corporation, has been collecting and storaging the christmas gifts in his community home for the past few weeks before it was all smashed and destroyed.
I am asking my community if we can all put in a small amount, which I know is tough this time of the year, though any amount can help. I'm hoping to raise $8000 by this time next week, so Ken and their workers can do another drive to Darwin and fill up the truck of Christmas gifts for the local children. Food and drinks also so they can have something to look forward to, as some of these families are doing it very tough also.
The contents in the home were also destroyed, so if we can make it to $8000, we can get these guys mattresses for their beds, clothing, and all other furniture for this community home that goes above and beyond helping the Minyerri Community.
Here is a link The write up of the destroyed home, gifts, food, drink and hampers.
