The Millville PAL program has been offering opportunities for the city's youth and local law enforcement to come together since 2007. These relationships grow stronger through engaging and consistent interaction over time. Although we are a small group, the benefits have been huge to many youth throughout the city. Millville officers who participate with the program can testify to the positive impact felt by participating youth and officers.

Millville PAL is a volunteer based community organization with approximately 400 Millville children ages 8 to 16 registered. The program offers opportunities for the Millville police officers to participate with youth in fun, recreational activities several times each month. Youth also join in youth development sessions regarding good citizenship, anti-violence, healthy relationships, arts and crafts, drug and alcohol prevention, health and nutrition sessions. The PAL board and program volunteers have worked to create a consistent schedule of activities as well as providing transportation to and from all events in an effort to have all neighborhood youth join the organization and benefit from its programs.

The Millville PAL program is need of programming funds to continue building positive relationships between local law enforcement and the children of our city. All the funding raised is 100% provided to facilitate activities with our PAL members. The PAL organization collaborates with the Millville Public Schools and the Millville Housing Authority to provide locations and activities to PAL participants at reasonable costs. It is however advantageous to provide members opportunities outside of their city neighborhoods and rural community.
