Miles for Military

While overlanding from California to Argentina, we launched the Miles for Military campaign to help support veterans and their families. During this trip and to kickstart this Miles for Military effort, Andy crossed the world's largest salt flats, the Bolivian Uyuni Salt Flats, on foot, carrying 40lbs, to raise awareness for the cause. To continue the efforts as we round off our Expedition Marooned project, we've partnered with Pelican for a #MilesforMilitary Giveaway.

The Cause:
As a former British Paratrooper, he is raising money for Support Our Paras, an organization that was instrumental in his and so many others transition into post-military life. "After finding out I was going to be getting medically discharged from the Parachute Regiment, I was heartbroken. My goal was always to make a full career in the army. I feel lucky for the time I was able to serve, and I'm hoping to give back to a charity that helped in my transition after being medically discharged."

The Lone Survivor Foundation: LSF is a U.S.-based charity that provides support to service members, veterans and families from all military branches who are challenged with injuries such as:
