Mike&Mike Medical Mission: Honduras

Hi! Thank you for visiting our gofundme page. We are Mike Avila and Mike Nwosu, fourth year medical students attending Loma Linda University School of Medicine in southern California. We plan to go into the specialty of family medicine as we both have passions for community wellness, tackling a multi-disciplinary approach to individual health and disease prevention, and quality and compassionate care.

As such we are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside with the healthcare teams at Hospital Adventista Valle de Angeles in the semi-rural area of Valle de Angeles, Honduras, about 1 hour from the capital city of Tecucigalpa. We also are excited to learn to assess and address the local community needs. Your generous funds will go towards airfare and lodging accommodations during our 1 month stay (from March to April) as well as providing the opportunity to develop into culturally competent and compassionate physicians. This will mean the world to us as we end our medical school journey. We are indebted to your selfless contribution toward our education and service to fellow mankind!
