Mikaela's Internship to Vietnam

My name is Mikaela Harrod and I am an apparel design student at the University of Minnesota. I have been gifted the amazing opportunity to intern with a local Minneapolis-based designer, Gina Marie , for the summer.
Last spring, Gina Marie launched her Vietnam Collection, inspired by an idea my sister Megan had to create ready-to-travel, sophisticated yet functional, modern clothing designs with textiles sourced sustainably from around the globe (check out the origin story). The idea materialized to something bigger, and Gina Marie intends to continue to build upon the concept. What's really cool, is that she has invited me to go to Vietnam with her to learn how she conducts her business, which includes up close and personal work with her tailors.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me. As a college student (aka starving artist), getting there is a challenge, and I need your help. If you choose to support me, the money will help defray costs associated with a plane ticket as well as living expenses for the month I am there. The funds need to be raised by May 1st.
I would be incredibly thankful for your donation for this trip. To show my appreciation, I will write a personal thank you on a postcard from Vietnam.
