Merlin's Surgery Fund
Spende geschützt
In June of 2017, we first noticed a small growth on Merlin's tummy. It didn't seem to bother him, but over time it has grown to the size of a golf ball. It began looking sinister and red not too long ago. He has been gradually losing weight, once he was at an ideal weight for his build at 9.5 lbs, but is now a bony 7.5 lbs.
We took him to the vet on 3/2/18 and are waiting on bloodwork to come back now. The vet believes the best option is to remove the growth. The cost for the surgery, hospitilazation, pain meds, x-rays, biopsy, and other medications is estimated at between $1300 and $1600.
My emergency credit line for pet health expences was cancelled by the company back in December, due to insufficient credit score. I never once made a late payment or was delinquent. Thanks to heartless capitalists who only want to make money off of interest, I have no means of helping my pets when they are in need.
When the bloodwork comes back on 3/5/18, the vet will likely want to schedule the surgery as soon as they are able (within a week or so) to remove the growth. He will require 1-3 days in the clinic to recover afterward, depending on whether the growth was cancer or something more benign, and how traumatic it was to remove.

Merlin is my sweet little baby. He has been a big part of my life ever since I rescued him (and his brothers) from a dangerous environment when he was only 5 weeks old. He just turned 7 at the end of February. He is the sweetest cat I've ever known. He cuddles and gives kitty kisses and I don't know what I would do without him in my life. He helps me with my depression and anxiety. He is very sweet and gentle and would never hurt a fly.

(Merlin as a kitten)
The vet visit already set me back over $300. I only work part time, due to my own health issues, and right now I've been setting aside all the money I can from my paychecks in order to fund his surgery, living off the food in the pantry. The money I do spend right now all goes to cat food and litter for Merlin and his two roomates (who are cats). My paychecks rarely break $400 every two weeks.
Any amount of money to help Merlin would be such a boon, even just $5 would help. I'd never ask for money to help myself, but for my precious kitty cat I would beg on a street corner with a tin can and a cardboard sign (if it was legal). Any help at all would be truly and deeply appreciated by Merlin and I.
