Memorial Headstone for Gosnell Babies

In 2011, the offices of Kermit Gosnell were raided by the Philadelphia Police Department on a drug screen. Evidence of over 30 years of illegal, late term abortions was found. The bodies of babies well beyond 32 weeks of gestation were found in freezers, cat litter, and water bottles with the back of their necks cut. The grand jury found that Kermit Gosnell was inducing labor on his patients, delivering live babies, and snipping the back of their necks with scissors. He is now serving life imprisonment for his crimes. 

Present day, the Philadelphia City Medical Examiner's Office has taken custody of the 48 babies found on the premises and buried them in an unmarked grave at Laurel Hill Cemetery. My wife and I contacted the Medical Examiner's Office to ask for permission to place a proper marker at the site. They refused. According to research, people have been trying for years to get a proper memorial at the burial site and the city has refused. The babies were cast aside in life and thrown in the trash, and now they rest behind a tree with no marker to honor them. 

My wife and I have decided to purchase a cemetery plot next to the site of the babies burial and erect a proper monument. We have met with officials from the cemetery and they are completely on-board with this move. We are now turning to you, asking for help in financing a simple headstone for the babies. A 2.6 ft tall headstone will cost $4295.00, the plot to erect it near the babies will be $5000.00 bringing the total cost to $10,000.00. Anything you can give to help would be amazing.
