Medical supplies for San Carlos - CAWS

For the past few years I, along with an amazing team of volunteers, have been dedicated to helping the people and animals of the San Carlos Apache Tribe. We have made a tremendous impact for individual animals, animal families and the community as a whole improving health and welfare and bring hope and faith in veterinary care.

In an effort to continue that work myself and a few others are in the process of starting a new non-profit, Community Animal Welfare Services (CAWS). We are hoping to raise money to help CAWS buy some much needed veterinary medical supplies so that we can continue helping animals at no cost to this amazing community.  We are often the only option for veterinary care for our clients on the reservation, and volunteer our time (and our own money) to be able to continue this work.

Every little bit helps! Supplies include vaccines, antibiotics, fluids, tick prevention, dewormer, parvo medications, etc. You can see above just a few of the hundreds of pets we have treated for free this year.  From a puppy and the rest his dog family in a household with contagious mange...to the kitten that was the sole survivor of a house fire...the dog who had a collar embedded in his neck...and the litter of puppies that contracted deadly parvovirus...to the dog with an STD cancer that spread to cause cancer lumps all over his body...and the kitten that got a fish hook caught in his armpit....and the sweet momma dog (with facial trauma as a puppy) and her newborns...to the chihuahua (before and after) that got caught up in a dog fight....and the puppies loaded with ticks...to the dog with a severe case of tick fever and non-contagious mange....and finally to the sweet litter of homeless pups we got to a rescue shelter in Phoenix!  Again, these are just a few of the many deserving pets we were able to help so far in 2019!

This is such an amazing community with so few pet resources - thank you for supporting this fundraiser that will allow the pets and people of San Carlos to continue to receive free vet care!
