Sweets by Kate

Marble City Opera is a non-profit organization with the mission to cultivate a new following for opera by bringing authentic, innovative performances of opera to smaller venues creating a more intimate and accessible atmosphere for our audiences.

We are raising money for our upcoming project

Sweets by Kate is a new opera and will recieve it's professional premeire with Marble City Opera, May 15, 2016 at the Knoxville Museum of Art.  It is a story of love, friendship, acceptance, and new beginnings. This 75 minute opera will pull at the heart strings of a modern audience while keeping them entertained through comedy and drama. This story is for anyone who dared to love wholeheartedly and stepped into their dreams boldly and without appology!

The money will be used to pay the artists and musicians who are dedicating so much time and energy into bringing this new work to life. It will also be used to create a beautiful production with props, secenery, lights, costumes, and video.
