The McLaughlin Boys
Donation protected
On August 23, 2016, while on a foot patrol in Helman Province, Afghanistan, Jon McLaughlin was severely
injured by an Improvised Explosive Device. The explosion also took the life of Jon's teammate, Matthew Thompson, and injured several Afghani Soldiers. Miraculously, Jon's remaining teamates were able to perform life saving emergency treatments and stabilize him for evacuation. After multiple life-saving surgeries in hospitals in both Afghanistan and Germany, Jon was finally brought back to US soil. Jon remains under heavy sedation, and continues to fight for his life alongside his loving wife during his long-projected recovery. While the two are hundreds of miles away, the McLaughlin's three young boys are under the loving care of Jon's Mother. Our goal, is to help offset some of the expenses for Jon's closest family to visit him in the hospital and provide for the Boys while their Daddy fights to come home to them again.
