This is our friend and business partner Kylee!  As a business owner/independent contractor.  our biggest worry involves the unexpected.  And as much as we can plan for what’s unexpected this is WAY beyond that. I am not sure many of us can plan for this....


In Kylee’s words...
When we found out we were having another girl, we decided to name her Micki after my dad. Most of you know, but last year my dad passed away very unexpectedly from a blockage in his heart. This past week we learned that our Micki has a heart condition. Feel like her name is even more fitting now!
The heart condition is called d-TGA. So when her heart was developing, her pulmonary artery and aorta got flipped.  (The aorta carries oxygenated blood and the pulmonary carries deoxygenated blood). When she’s born she will be a bit blue. They will monitor her for a good 48hours and within that first week she will have to have surgery to switch them back. She will more than likely be in the hospital a good 2 weeks after, as long as there are no complications or infection. 
There isn’t a pediatric cardiologist here in Fargo. So we will have to travel to the cities or Denver (we haven’t decided where we want to go yet). I will give birth wherever she is going to have surgery. 


From high medical deductibles, to travel expenses, giving birth away from her home, caring for her 3 other girls, and other uncovered expenses the expenses are/will be piling up.  Kylee is such a light in our business and blesses so many of her clients with her talents and skills. As well as all of her fellow business partners. We are hoping to bless her and her family with relief from this unplanned challenge.
