Maya’s Plastic Eradication

Maya is very eco-conscious and is aware of the amount of plastic that we as a society use.   She came to me and her mother and asked if she could ask her school principal to not use so much plastic.  They use one time use water bottles and she sees how much goes into the trash. She has been raised to love the ocean and watches many programs about be destruction of the underwater environment due to pollution and trash. 
  As parents our goal is to help her with her dream, so we have told her we will help
her get the plan in action. All money received will be put toward buying students at west elementary their own reusable water bottle to keep. If we make enough to do another school we go until the money is exhausted.
