Welcome to the Maximillian Thunderdome Memorial Fund, a fundraiser to benefit Kitties & Pitties Animal Rescue.
Our beautiful Siamese cat Max passed away after almost 18 years of being the most awesome cat ever. For almost 12 of those years, he was a regular (if reluctant) figure on my blog . After he died, I said No More Cats. I said it more than once.
Which means I now have two cats, adopted via Kitties & Pitties Animal Rescue.
Rey and Finn (nee Peter and Penelope) are inseparable littermates, found abandoned at three months old, and fostered for almost a full year while waiting for someone willing to take both of them together. I'm happy it ended up being us, and I'm happy organizations like Kitties & Pitties exist to care for hard-to-place animals. (The group also offers free Trap/Neuter/Release services for feral cats and colonies in the wider Baltimore area.)
I plan to make a personal donation in Max's name, but figured maybe some Internet Group Power could mean even more help to even more animals.
