Mavis' DMA journey

Hello everyone! I have a good news to share to all my friends and families- I'm going to University of Hartford Hartt School of Music to pursue my doctoral degree in vocal performance! The Hartt School is very generous and offering me a scholarship and an assistantship which covers half of the tuition. I will be assisting the opera director which it has been my dream for a long time. The tuition is $23,000 each year and $12,000 for the housing and living. Despite all the financial difficulties, I insist and decide to move on to a journey. I know it's a long way to go but I have faith that I can accomplish this.  

I'm planning on getting student loan back in Taiwan and do as many fundrasing concerts as I can. I believe with this degree in hand, I can help more young musicians also definitely give me more chance to shine. I'm always interested to spread the joy of the music around. My dream is to have my own organization and be able to influence more people with music to make this world a better place.
