Matt's Bungee Jump For Jakes Story
We are fund raising for Jakes Story. Jake is a 5 year old big boy from Welling who is kicking Cancers arse! During his many years of treatment, Jake and other children battling Cancer spend an awful lot of time on hospital wards often secluded from the outside world due to how vulnerable they are. These places can be depressing and hell for some kids and their families. Jake and his amazing family (Dad - Spencer, Mum - Sarah and Big Sister Freya) came up with a great idea to transform the childrens Cancer wards of the local hospitals. Thousands and thousands of pounds have been raised through fundraising events and donations which has enabled Jake and his family to transform Queen Elizabeth Hospital childrens Cancer wards in Woolwich with soft play equipment, dvd players, new televisions and lots more. They are now venturing out into other hospitals.
The last fund raising event a few weeks ago was a dinner and dance organsied by Sarah. Over £3,500 was raised. There was a draw at the event with lots of fab prizes donated. I was lucky enough to win a raffle prize of a Bungee Jump which i knew the thrill seeker in Matt would love hahaa :) So what better way then to bungee for Jakes Story!
Matts bungee jump will be at the o2 arena on Sunday 25th November at 13:30. Please sponsor as little or as much as you can and help to make a difference to soo many brave children.
