Hi everyone,
I would like to introduce you to my little friend Mason. He is the son of Jennifer and Clay Nations of Monterey, LA. He is a very bright, energetic and playful little boy. He loves his brother and sisters, Lil Clay, Mallory and Sara. He should be living the kind of life all 22 month old children are entitled to. There's just one problem . A problem I hope you and your children never endure.
Mason has Hyper IGM. This is a very rare immune deficiency. In his short life , Mason has been hospitalized eight different times with infections. Even with medical intervention , his health continues to deteriorate. He is a very sick little guy. Mason is in need of a bone marrow transplant. This is the only cure for the illness.
Only one in a million children are born with Hyper IGM. Unfortunately, Mason is the second of the Nations family's children to suffer this disease. Lil Clay has already had the transplant. Luckily, his sister Mallory was a donor match and he was able to receive treatment quickly. Mason's siblings are not a match for him. He needs an outside donor and one has been found. The procedures take several months of hospital stays and travel expenses for the donor. The insurance company will not pay these expenses which will mount up to $40,000. The Nations will have to meet these expenses to save the life of their youngest child. They are a family in need.
I'm appealing to you to search your hearts and your pocketbooks. Please give to this precious little boy and his family. He deserves to live and long, happy, healthy life. Please help this family get Mason the medical care that he needs. I thank you and Manson's family thank you. I ask you to say a prayer of healing not only for Mason, but for all the children that are suffering with some horrific disease. God bless you all.
