Team Mary Lynn

Anyone that has had the pleasuse of meeting Mary Lynn, knows what a truly giving and selfless woman she is. She has had such a positive impact on so many, despite how much she has gone through. Here is a short summary of the long road she has endured.
In 1995 she had breast cancer, a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. In 1997 there was a recurrence of breast cancer with lumpectomy, radiation, and was in the hospital with a high dose of chemo. Then in 2006, she and her husband found out that she had synovial sarcoma in her left lower leg, which followed with surgery and radiation. Because of all the radiation Mary Lynn had endured, she had a leg fracture in 2008, and a rod was placed in her lower, left leg. Also in 2008, she found out that she had metastasis of sarcoma to the thigh, so surgery and more radiation followed. In 2015, there was metastasis of sarcoma behind her left knee, so in November 2015 she was in the hospital for heavy chemo which lasted 21 days and then had to go back in January 2016 for even more chemo. She then endured a major surgery to remove the tumor in her knee in February 2016. Only 6 months later that same year did she find out that metastasis, and 4 new tumors were behind her left knee. She then had cellulitis in her leg and was in the hospital yet again, for IV antibiotics. The most recent medical hurdle she has come to, is the amputation of her left leg above the knee, this past September.
We can only imagine the financial strain her and her very supportive husband, Paul have been facing for the last 21 years. She must now learn to live with one leg and of course will need to continue with therapies, doctor appointments, and hopes to get a leg prosthetic, after healing.
Mary Lynn and Paul are still the optimistic, happy, and devout couple we all love, and would never ask for anything. So let's take it upon ourselves to help in any way we can.
