Marv & Micks fight for life

Let us start by letting you know this whole story is truly a nightmare…. So unbelievable! It is really shortened down because they have been through so much. Please just try to imagine what it might be like to live in their world. Born and raised and still reside in Ohio. They have always been such hard workers. Such good, loving, and caring people. Bare with me I know this fund is for our dad but to understand why they need help so badly I need to start with our stepmom Margaret Mullen (Mick) when she was diagnosed with almost stage 4 pancreatic cancer about three and a ½ years ago June of 2013 she was only 51 y/o. She could no longer work. The following month July of 2013 she went to the UPMC University of Pittsburgh Medical Hospital in Pennsylvania to get the whipple procedure done. It is a very invasive surgery with a long hard recovery. Honestly this is purely a miracle she is even with us now. Less than 20% of people can even qualify for this surgery. Then many people never recover. She was also being treated at the Philadelphia CTCA. Sometime in the midst of all of that she fell on ice and broke her shoulder and hip. She went through multiple surgeries for this accident. Then her cancer returned around the fall of 2015 she went through more chemotherapy to have her pancreas removed. Before she finished all of that she received terrible news that her insurance was now going to be out of network. So this just meant more $$$$$. They never asked anyone for money! No donations or fundraising …...nothing. Then in October of 2016 the very same week Mick was finally able to return to work her husband (our dad) Marvin Mullen (Marv) only 61 y/o suddenly became very ill (overnight!) he was eventually diagnosed with stage 4 transformed Lymphoma B (very aggressive!).Now both are unable to work. He was in the hospital with severe septic shock several times in ICU before his diagnosis. He is now fighting for his life in Chicago, Illinois CTCA. It's very costly as you can imagine. The cost of air fare every couple of weeks is very expensive plus the added expense for Mick’s stay and meals. We love them so very much so please leave a donation. Just a little will help greatly. If you just can't please share and forward to those that can. It will be greatly appreciated between them and us. Thank you.
