MARFASAYSNO

C3 Presents, a corporation specializing in large scale international concert promotions, is proposing an annual festival just a few miles north of Marfa beginning in 2021. C3 expects 6,000 festival attendees—more than three times the population of Marfa—the first year; ultimately, the festival will grow larger in size and longer in duration. We believe this is not in the best interest of the Marfa or the tri-county community at large.

We've been incredibly fortunate that local individuals have stepped up to help financially support our movement thus far; expenses have included legal fees and the launch of the MARFASAYSNO website .

We are asking you today to help in donating additional monetary support to help us pay for the following things:

$100 postcards 
We will hand these out at the C3 public meeting, when/if it happens, and distribute at local venues.

$100 posters
We’ve got a number of big festivals coming up including Marfa Lights, Trans Pecos, and Chinati Weekend. Let's make sure local venues have the opportunity to show anyone visiting with us that we have a fight on our hands. 

$600 postcard mailing
Informational postcards headed to every PO Box holder in Marfa with the website address, so residents can take action. If we raise enough money, we'd like to also send a postcard to every PO Box holder in Fort Davis, as well.

$250 lawn signs
The lawn signs around Marfa are a powerful display of opposition and we'd like to reprint and distributed another round. New signs will include the MARFASAYSNO web address, so residents can take action.. When C3 comes to town for their public meeting, let's be sure to welcome them with visual opposition throughout the town.

$150 social media advertising
Let's make sure everyone in the tri-county area and those traveling to our town know about our petition and how they can help support our fight.

If we end up raising more than our goal, it will give us needed flexibility and the remainder will go toward website renewals, legal fees, and local advertisements. We will be uploading all of our invoices, so you can see exactly how the money has been spent.
