Making Baby Khalili

Hello everyone, we are Kathleen & Amir Khalili, and we are trying desperately to raise funds for Egg Donation Assisted Fertility Treatment. We have come a long long way to get to where we are. I have dealt with unexplained infertility all my life, and have never had any children. I also suffered with excruciating migraines for over a decade. I was then diagnosed with a pituitary brain tumour. Whilst I had the tumour, we met whilst on holiday in Tunisia and fell in love...we faced everything head on, determined to be together. I got the tumor removed, we got married, and applied for a visa for Amir to come to uk. Now that he's here, and we are extremely happy, there is one final piece to our puzzle that's missing, and that's a family of our own. The tumor may have gone undiagnosed for some time, as symptoms include migraine and infertility. I try not to dwell on the negatives in life, and I am here to tell the tale, many don't survive this type of tumor. I am happy to say since it's been removed I've never had another migraine. The infertility side of things however,  breaks our hearts. After pushing and pushing NHS, I've recently been referred to Glasgow hospital, who advised that with egg donation, I can carry a baby, and we can have a chance at having our miracle. They also advised that had I been referred this time last year, they could have provided treatment for free. Having missed the deadline through NHS not referring us sooner, we now need to fund the treatment privately.  We have to give this all we've got. I've never stopped believing that I'll be a mum, and Amir, in every way will be a fantastic dad. A family member has agreed to egg donation, for which we will be forever grateful. So it's only money, or lack of, standing between us and our dream. Unless you go through it, it's hard to understand or even try to describe how devastating infertility can be. I feel we are being given this chance and we need to grab it, and give it everything...we,my family, my friends, pretty much everyone I know,  will be fundraising to get this target, at 46 years old time is of the essence! I can't put into words just how much we've longed for and prayed for this chance... our prayers are being answered, slowly but surely... we will never ever ever give up hope...if you can kindly see it in your heart to give anything at all, it would mean the absolute world to us......we believe it's going to happen, with your help xx
