Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know, I will be graduating from the University of South Carolina this May. While it breaks my heart to leave this place that has provided me with so much love, growth and happiness, I am excited to spend my next adventure in Nicaragua as a Program Director with Manna Project International. MPI is a non-profit organization committed to holistic community development in Latin America.
I will be working with a small group of other recent graduates to provide healthcare and education to the communities in the capital city of Managua. Specifically, I will have the opportunity to work in the local medical clinic, teach English classes and volunteer in multiple other clinics developed by MPI.
This opportunity will provide me with so much experience and incredible opportunities to learn before I move on to medical school and begin the next step of my life as an aspiring cardiothoracic surgeon.
I will be in Nicaragua from July to December 2017, and in order to do this work, I am required to raise $4,500 to cover the cost of running the medical clinic and other programmatic expenses, as well as my living expenses and insurance for the time I will be spending there.
I have been incredibly blessed by the people and opportunities that surround my life and I hope that you all will consider supporting me. I am so appreciative of any donations you can offer. All gifts are tax deductible and I will be accepting donations throughout my time in Nicaragua.
