Ferguson Alternative Spring Break!
Donation protected
My name is Quinn Miller Murphy. I'm currently a student at Western Oregon University, but I grew up just outside of the Seattle area.
In recent years, I have seen my community torn by the lasting effects of police brutality, institutionalized racism, and white privilege. This March I have the ability to go to Ferguson, Missouri, and learn how I can help combat these issues.
Ferguson Alternative Spring Break is an opportunity for me to learn how to rebuild a community and participate in lectures, workshops, and projects. I feel blessed to have this opportunity, but I do need some help to fund my trip. Me and a few of my friends are very humbled by the opportunity we have to learn about ourselves and others.
I'm hoping that this trip can provide me with a chance to give back. I am also hoping it gives me a chance to reflect on myself, my own black struggle, and my white privilege.
I would truly appreciate any help from my family and friends. Anything you can donate will get me closer to being able to go on this service trip.
The money you donate will go to pay my $100 registration fee, as well as the cost of my plane tickets to and from St. Louis.
