Helping a Hero
Donation protected
Since retiring in 1996 from the Navy, I have dedicated my time and efforts to assisting Veterans with transportation to and from the doctors appointments, assist them with disability claims, purchasing medical supplies, and home repairs. For the last two months, I have been working with this 75 year old retired Veteran in Barnesville, Ga.. This individual have been living in these unlivable conditions(bugs infestation with termites, no running water to cook with and use the toliet and no heat ) for the last 10 years. During winter the winter months Army Corpal John Green would sleep in his car to stay warm.
Veteran members from American Legion Post 516 of McDonough, Ga, have donated many hours and material to help with this refurbishment project of Mr. John Green house. Along with my donation of my fund, and members of the American Legion Post 516 donation we have had donated material and supplies, also Bankston Lumber company has made donations of lumber to assit with this project.
As a dedicated Veteran, I am reaching out to others, to ask for donated funds to complete the refurbishment of Mr. John Green home before the winter months approach. In additions to making donations on this go fund me page, you can also make tax exempt donation to :
American Legion Post 516. P.O. Box 605 McDonough, Ga. 30253. Phone number [phone redacted]
When contacting them please refer to the "John Green Refurishment Project."
Thank you In advance for your support to this project
