Help Baby Grant Weaver

Friends, Family and Strangers are getting together as a community to Help Baby Grant and his Father Doug Weaver.
On January 30th Baby Grant and his mother were pulled from the Puntledge River in Courteney BC. Grants mother has passed away… but Baby Grant who is 7 months old is still fighting for his life at BC Children’s Hospital. He is making huge advances of survival day by day with his daddy Doug by his side. Doug grew up in Victoria and has many family and friends here supporting him. We are looking to not only support him emotionally but raise funds to help Doug while he is over a Children’s Hospital financially as well. We are hoping for a financial donation but also looking for positive thoughts as well.

Hi it's Doug
In this photo Grant and I are relaxing at a friends house in Victoria. Grant is recovering well and should be crawling in the next few weeks. We are looking forward to the warmer months ahead and spending time at the beach.
With everyone's financial support I am able to take the next several months off before looking for new work in Victoria to care for Grant.

Thank you again

We are slowly settling to our new home in Victoria. I hope to return to the valley in not too long. For now life for grant is still a bit busy with specialists and various appointments. To date he is sitting up on his own, laughing and enjoying his toys. It's a slow road ahead, but a promising one.

It is nice to be out of the hospital and back on the island. The great team from Victoria's Queen Alexander is taking over Geants rehabilitation program that was started at Sunny Hill in Vancouver. All in all Grant is doing very well. The medical community, along with family are helping the little guy work towards a positive recovery. It is still early days but I am optimistic his recovery will continue to go well.

......and to all our friends and supporters in the Comox Valley; we will be coming to visit on a regular basis as soon as possible. This move to Victoria isn't forever!
