With everything she owned and excited for this new chapter of life, Lyn moved to Steinhatchee Florida in June 2016.
Hurricane Hermine gave Lyn a rude welcoming to Florida just 2 months after the move. Hermine's surge pushed sea water into Lyn's lagoon completely flooding the house, car, and forcing them to flee on Kayak's during the hurricane to stay alive.

The rising waters took several days to finally subside. For those few days, Lyn's home sat underwater ruining everything she had to her name.
We are blessed that Lyn, Chris, Little, and Lulu made it to safety, but everything is a complete loss. Insurance cancelled their homeowners policy on 8/25, just days before Hermine hit, due to property containing "hazardous features". Lyn has been staying in a local hotel trying to figure out the next steps to rebuild her life.
Anyone who knows Lyn, knows she would never ask for help. She is also the type of woman who would bring someone in from the cold and give them a blanket and a hot drink.
With that, we need to show Lyn that she has love and support by helping her get back on her feet. Lets shower her with love and help in every way possible.
