Sabrina's Habitat for Humanity Trip

This coming May, I will be going on my fourth service trip with Habitat for Humanity. During high school I had the incredible privilege of accompanying, and also leading, my chapter to New Orleans three times to rebuild the homes and lives of the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Coming to college I knew I had to find a way to continue my love of service and commitment to the mission of Habitat. Saint Joseph's University has allowed me to do so. As a Jesuit university, advocating for social justice is a principle that is woven into every aspect of our education. Every day we strive to be men and women with and for others.
This trip is run through a campus club called Collegiate Challenge. "Collegiate Challenge at SJU goes beyond the physical labor of the service project. It allows students to develop a greater understanding of another cultures within the United States, as well as grow intellectually and spiritually. It challenges students to fulfill the Jesuit Ideal of being a man or woman with and for others in day to day life."

In the past, I have used the paychecks of my part-time job to fund these trips. However this year I am asking for your help! These trips truly mean the world to me, and I would be forever grateful for any contribution you would be able to make to help me achieve this goal.
We are all called to a life of servitude. The values of both Habitat for Humanity and Saint Joe's Collegiate Challenge embody all that we are asked to do as advocates of social justice.
